Directional neurite growth using carbon nanotube patterned substrates as a biomimetic cue
This work was a collaborative work between Seoul National University (Hybrid Nano-Device and Nano-Assembly Lab, PI: Prof. S. Hong) and KAIST. CNT patterned substrates were fabricated at SNU and neurons were cultured and characterized at KAIST. We demonstrated that patterned CNTs were effective to guide neurite outgrowth at early developmental stage of dissociated rat hippocampal neurons.
